We have been donated a double bass and two tuba’s by Mrs Bette Dickson, wife of Bill Dickson. Bill was key figure as bassist in the 1960s Apex Jazz Band in which he travelled extensively to share his talent across the world. Bette would like to see these instruments put to good use. If anyone could help us with this, we would like to hear from you.
We also have a Piano and hold a set of hand drums and other instruments for the Killyleagh Community Association. Putting these to good use to help some children or indeed adults practice music would be wonderful, so we are open to suggestions or requests to use the instruments. While we are on the subject of music, local musician, composer and tutor, Neil Foster, runs a number of Music Therapy workshops and plans to start a new set this autumn.
