Amanda says “I began drawing and painting animals in 2019. Starting in pencil, pastels, and watercolors and now have moved on to painting with my favorite medium oil on canvas. I drew my inspiration from spending 15 years in the rural landscape and culture in the Dakotas which included ranching, rodeo, barrel racing, and mountain trail riding. Now I have returned home to the Insh coastal scene of track racing, trekking the Mournes, or riding the beaches. Two differing cultures honoring gods most beautiful creations. Whether it is horses or other animals, I strive to capture their expressive nature and grace”
